Twitter engineers bring in the big bucks.

In a recent analysis of visas issued to H-1B employees as of Insider’s second quarter of 2022, Twitter’s listed salaries ranged from $122,000 to $332,000, ranging from IT engineers to senior software engineers.
The US Office of Foreign Labor Certification publishes data on the positions and salaries of foreign workers. H1-B visas specifically require companies to pay employees the same as US-based ones.
In the first quarter, Twitter hired about 100 people through the program. But in the second quarter, that number rose to 400 employees.
Insider noted that a tumultuous back and forth over Elon Musk’s bid to buy Twitter has boosted sales at the company. (Musk has until October 28 to get his backers back on board and close the $44 billion deal with the company.)
