Mark Robinson was frustrated with AFC Wimbledon’s inability to deal with Charlton Athletic’s threat from corners.

The Addicks scored two goals from set-pieces on Saturday afternoon in their 3-2 win over the Dons, as their winless League One streak stretched to 10 matches.

Robinson said: “Narrow defeat, small margins. We’ve obviously got done at two set-pieces which is a strength of ours. We’re disappointed about that, as it’s not something that happens very often.

“It was a bright start, we looked a real threat. Again, conceding from a set-piece is disappointing, it’s something that we are good at. It’s a great delivery and movement from them but we lost our man and then going 2-1 down, we’ve come back into it and looked bright at the start of the second half.

“To get done on another set-piece is really disappointing. We’re fifth overall [in set piece standings] and where we are as a club, those small margins are really important to us. When you get undone like that it’s disappointing.

“Twelve games up until today, we’ve lost three, won two but drawn seven – which is the issue. We’re a competitive side but we need to find that edge that helps us turn a point into three. But we’re confident we can do it.

“We don’t enjoy being in front, while we’re one up, we need to find a way to stay the hunter and not get hunted. That could be the youthfulness in the squad. We have to turn that 1-0 into 2-0.”
