British Transport Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the killing of a man in Greenwich in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Ibrahim Bah, 34, from Bexley, died following the attack in Greenwich High Road.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called at 2.15am to reports of a man with stab injuries. Mr Bah was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later.
His family has paid tribute to him as a “kind, loving father”, and asked for privacy as they process their “tragic loss”.
In a statement, the family said: “Ibrahim was a kind, loving father who loved his family very much and will be terribly missed.
“He belongs to Allah and he returns to Allah. We wish that justice will be served.”
A 29-year-old man from Lewisham was arrested on the day of the attack, but has since been released and no further action will be taken against him.
On Monday, a second man, aged 37 and from Greenwich, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He currently remains in custody.
British Transport Police are leading the investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Steve May said: “This was a shocking and brutal act of violence which has resulted in a man tragically losing his life.
“While we are at an early stage of our investigation, we believe this attack followed a fight close to the entrance of Belushi’s bar on Greenwich High Road.
“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened or the events leading up to it to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“Likewise, if you were driving in the area at the time, please check your dash cam footage for anything untoward. Your information could be crucial to our investigation.”
