Perhaps one of the more unexpected announcements from Apple’s WWDC event last week was the unveiling of a new 13-inch MacBook Pro that will be powered by Apple’s new M2 processor. While it was initially suggested by Apple that the new MacBook would be available in July, we now know that you can pre-order the new laptop starting Friday, June 17, with retail deliveries and availability starting June 24.
Currently you can only pre-order configurations of the new 13-inch MacBook through the Apple storefront or through a small handful of authorized resellers that we’ll list on this page as more retailers make pre-orders available.

The base model of Apple’s latest version of the MacBook Pro comes with a 13-inch display and Apple’s M2 CPU in addition to 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro will be available in a variety of silver or space gray configurations. While the models share many of the same specs, they can all be configured with up to 24GB of storage RAM and 2 TB SSD storage. The cheapest model starts at $1,299.99 and is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD, but it is also possible to spend as much as $2,499.99 for a model that pulls out all the stops. We haven’t had a chance to try any of these new models of the MacBook Pro yet, but the new M2 CPU will definitely give it an edge over Apple’s previous 13-inch model, even if the hardware is otherwise largely the same. is. †It even retains the divisive Touch Bar and includes active cooling to keep the M2 processor at peak performance, even on tougher projects.
