Apple Tv+’s space adventure saga set in alternate history called For All Mankind certainly caught the eye when it debuted in 2019. The second season was even better, though, with Rolling Stone calling it “The Best Show of 2021”. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of For All Mankind Season 3 since the second season ended. And recently the streaming service released a teaser for the third season and also informed us about the release date. Here’s what we know so far about the third season.

For All Mankind Season 3: Trailer Out!

As we get closer to the release of For All Mankind Season 3, Apple TV+ has released a 30-second teaser for the upcoming season to build further anticipation. The clip is about 30 seconds long. The clip starts with a pair of wide eyeglasses. And a voice in the background says: “If we are united behind a common goal, there is nothing we cannot achieve”.

Then the clip reveals that the next season will take place on Mars in 1995, which was previously suggested at the end of the second season. The teaser perfectly intrigues fans’ curiosity by revealing something about the upcoming season’s story. It has not revealed any additional narrative or character information. But it does tell that For All Mankind season 3 is coming out soon.

What to expect from For All Mankind Season 3?

The series’ second season was set against the backdrop of the Soviet-American Cold War that had escalated by 1983 to the point of no return. NASA tried to maintain the status quo through collective efforts. Towards the end of the second season, the space race between the two superpowers was suspended when the USSR and the US signed a peace agreement. Peace does not come without a price, however, as Tracy and Gordo had to sacrifice themselves to stop the threat of a nuclear meltdown on the Moon after the Soviets attacked the Jamestown base.

Meanwhile, the weapon-enhanced shuttles, the Buran and Pathfinder, came perilously close, barely avoiding a last-minute collision. Meanwhile, the Apollo-Soyuz mission has been accomplished. However, Sergei devises a plan to persuade Margo Madison. At the end of the second season, viewers will see the red planet Mars as the story jumps to 1994.

Now, when the series returns with For All Mankind season 3, we’ll likely see Ed try to find solutions to his childish problems. While she also has to deal with the grief of the deaths of Gordo and Tracy. Since she is now the mission commander of the Apollo-Soyuz program, Danielle Poole will likely take center stage in the third season. With the two powers signing a peace treaty last season, the cold war might be out of the picture next season.

When will the third season come?

For All Mankind Season 3

The second season of the alternate history space drama series debuted on Apple Tv+ on February 19, 2021. And the season ended with the season finale airing on April 29, 2021. Meanwhile, Apple TV realized the potential of the series green-lighted the show with For All Mankind season 3 even before the second season hit our screens.

This isn’t surprising considering that the series has amassed a significant fan base with its captivating stories in such a short period of time. According to the reports, the first parts of production for the third season started in February 2021. Now the streaming service has shared the official premiere date for the third season. For All Mankind Season 3 will be released on Apple TV+ on June 10, 2022.
