housands of users have reported being unable to access Apple services including its app store, its music and TV business and its maps function.
The software giant’s system status page showed outages on systems including its podcasts and the find my app which allows users to keep track of their devices.
It also showed outages had been reported and resolved on the iCloud and its games centre.
According to Down Detector, a website which monitors website outages, thousands of people complained of having issues from around 4.30pm GMT.
Confused users flocked to social media to see the extent of the problem although Apple has not commented so far.
