It finished 1-1 in Austria, with Salzburg leading for much of the match before Kingsley Coman struck a 90th-minute equaliser to give Bayern the edge going into the second leg at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern are the third favourites to win the Champions League this season, behind Manchester City and Liverpool, and will be extremely comfortable of booking their place in the last eight on Tuesday night.

Bayern Munich vs RB Salzburg team news

Manuel Neuer, Leon Goretzka and Alphonso Davies are among those missing for Bayern in the second leg.

However, Thomas Muller is back fit and available again, and can be expected to start for the German side.

Salzburg also have a number of injuries to contend with as they look to spring a shock in Munich.

Chukwubuike Adamu and Karim Adeyemi are in line to start in attack for Salzburg though, with the former scoring his side’s only goal in the first leg.

Bayern dominated many of the stats in the first leg, but they found it difficult to break Salzburg down while also looking vulnerable themselves.

Back on home soil though, anything other than a Bayern win that sees them through to the last eight would be a massive surprise.
