While some of the best iPad deals usually happen around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can still find plenty of great discounts all year round if you know where to look. Whether you’re looking for the high-end iPad Pro or the most affordable entry-level iPad, there’s probably a sale going on somewhere that you might be interested in.
Of course, it’s hard to know exactly where to find the most notable deals unless you’re scouring the major retailers on a daily basis. But that’s often what our deal hunters are after The edge every day, so let us help you. Below we’ve listed the best deals you can get on every iPad model currently available, including the latest ones equipped with Apple’s powerful M1 chip.
The best iPad (2021) deals
Announced more than a year ago at Apple’s iPhone 13 event, the 2021 iPad is Apple’s latest entry-level tablet to replace the eighth-generation model of 2020. The ninth-generation iPad starts at $329, just like its predecessor, although the entry-level model has 64 GB of storage instead of 32 GB. This basic configuration with Wi-Fi is currently available on Amazon at $269 ($60 off), the lowest price to match the recent Prime Early Access Sale discount. Though rumors point to the imminent announcement of a new model, which could cut the headphone jack of this latest 3.5mm-equipped holder from the iPad line. That $269 price tag is great, but you might want to hold on to see if Apple announces anything new — or at least be willing to return it if you buy it and change your mind.
As for the next increase in storage, 256GB, it normally costs $479, but walmart has that configuration with wifi for $399. This is a very good deal, especially since it’s normally only $429. If you prefer your iPad to have cellular connectivity, you can use the 64GB LTE-equipped configuration costs $459and the 256 GB variant costs $609.
The 2021 model iPad uses an A13 Bionic processor and a 12MP wide-angle camera with Center Stage, a feature designed to keep you in focus and centered during video calls. Many other features inherited from its predecessor; such as the 10.2-inch display, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the home button, and a Smart Connector for connecting a Smart Keyboard.
The best iPad Mini (2021) deals
The sixth-generation iPad Mini has a larger screen than its predecessor, along with a premium processor, USB-C support, and 5G options. It’s lost its 3.5mm headphone jack and dedicated home button, but overall it’s a solid device that brings a completely redesigned design to Apple’s small tablet form factor.
However, the changes and refinements to the new iPad Mini come at a higher price, and the new 64GB Wi-Fi model now starts at $499. Opting for 256GB storage brings the price to $649, while the 5G cellular models are $649 for 64. GB and $799 for 256 GB. These are some big numbers for a small iPad, and the larger iPad Air might be worth considering if you’d rather spend your dollar on more screen real estate. But if you want the latest and greatest from Apple in a smaller size, this is where the action is.
There have been significant discounts on the sixth-generation Mini recently, where we’ve seen it drop to $100. However, at the moment the best price for the 64GB base model is a more modest discount of about $40 at Amazon, where it’s $459.98 for one of the four colors. If you need additional storage space, walmart also has the 256GB Wi-Fi model for $599 in the starlight color – a slightly better discount at $50. As for the 5G-equipped variant, which usually retails for $649 and starts with 64GB of storage, it’s available on Amazon in starlight for $599 ($50 off).
If the previous-generation iPad Mini has given any indication, major deals for the 2021 iPad Mini could be light and rare, in part because it has such minimal competition in its product segment.

The best iPad Air (2022) deals
The latest iPad Air usually costs $599, but is currently available at the best price yet. Amazon knocked it down with $80 off for the base configuration with 64GB Wi-Fi, bringing the 10.9-inch all-color tablet down to $519. This is the lowest price for the latest Air, and it matches the recent Prime Early Access Sale- deal – but it’s available all along.
For those looking for more storage on the new iPad Air, the 256GB configuration is available for $669 in space gray from Amazon or $679 from walmart. That Amazon deal reflects another $80 off its usual price of $749, which is the lowest we’ve seen for this setup.
The 2022 iteration of Apple’s lightweight tablet is similar in features to the previous-generation model, but still offers a handful of iterative upgrades. The most pronounced improvement is the M1 processor, which offers better performance, and the 12MP front-facing camera features Apple’s Center Stage feature that helps keep a moving subject centered when recording video or during video calls. . While it can be risky to buy an iPad before new ones are announced, Air isn’t likely to change anything.
The best iPad Pro (2021) deals
The 2021 iPad Pro is at the top of Apple’s tablet line. It now shares the same processor as the cheaper iPad Air, but still has notable reasons for choosing a Pro, such as Face ID unlocking and more basic storage. If display quality is the most important factor in your purchase decision, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 is the way to go. The larger variant of the fifth-generation model uses a Mini LED display, which is designed to produce deeper blacks and better contrast, much like OLED technology. Plus, both the 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pros praise Apple’s blazing-fast M1 chip and features like Center Stage. They’re still the most impressive and expensive iPads to date, with 11 and 12.9-inch configurations typically starting at $799 and $1,099, respectively.
The 11-inch, 128GB iPad Pro with Wi-Fi starts at $799. While we’ve seen the price of this model drop to just $650 before, it’s now only discounted to $749 ($50 off) at Amazon and walmart.
If you prefer the larger 12.9-inch model with its eye-catching Mini LED screen, the the best deal out there right now is the 256GB version with wifi for $999 ($200 off) at Amazon. The 128GB offer at discounted prices seems to be a bit dry for now, which may or may not mean new ones are on the horizon.
But if you want to go broke and get a lot more storage on this big iPad Pro, Amazon has the same $200 discount on the 512GB and 1TB versions, making them $1,199 and $1,599 respectively. That’s hefty prices for an iPad, but it’s useful if you need a lot of built-in storage to try and turn it into a laptop replacement (but keep in mind that you’ll also have to spend more on extra accessories like a keyboard case).
