BYJU’s Edtech platform brings in two ex-Amazon executives to improve learning products and solutions

    Edtech platform BYJUannounced on Thursday that it has roped in two former Amazon executives — Sunil Sharma and Darshan Bhandari — further improve its learning products and solutions.

    Sharma has been appointed Vice President, Engineering – Student and Teacher Experience and Bhandari as Vice President, Engineering – BYJU’s Tuition Center and Devices.

    “I am delighted to welcome Sunil and Darshan as we continue to strengthen our tech base,” Anil Goel, BYJU’s President – Technology, said in a statement.

    “While Sunil’s expertise in technology, strategy and execution will strengthen BYJU’s ongoing initiatives to leverage technology solutions and enhance the student experience, Darshan will play a key role in enhancing technology-led growth, providing support for improved front-end and back-end processes and help us achieve our overarching digital and technology goals,” he added.

    With a career spanning more than 21 years, Sharma brings a proven track record of scaling technology teams at companies such as Amazon, Hewlett Packard and AGT International. Meanwhile, Bhandari is a seasoned tech leader and growth specialist with over 18 years of experience in technology innovation, building top talent and providing world-class products for companies such as Amazon, Trust Jio Infocommand Amdocs.
