After what seems like an eternity, fans can finally see their beloved detective and elf team reunite on TV. carnival row is an original series produced by Amazon Prime Video and created by Travis Beecham (Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans). The story follows the lives of the inhabitants of the Burge, both humans and elves, and the secrets that surround them.

The return of Carnival Row Season 2 brings Rycroft “Philo” Philostrate (played by Orlando Bloom), Vignette Stonemoss (played by Cara Delevigne), and the rest of de Burge to our screens, but fans are all wondering the same thing: When!?

Shooting was suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic and was not allowed to start again until January 2021, as Cara Delevigne admits in a short Instagram post. Filming could only continue once the pandemic was under control. Another delay happened, but this time it was for a much more positive reason: Bloom and his fiancée, Katy Perry, had their first child together. According to a farewell message published on Bloom’s Instagram, shooting will be completed in September 2021 after she’s had the chance to spend some much-needed time with her family in Prague. Fans still don’t know when Carnival Row will return, despite the fact that it closed nearly three years ago.

Carnival Row Season 2: Release Date

Now that shooting is complete, the cast and crew have gone home and post-production is now underway. Season 2 is rumored to be premiering soon, a full three years after the series premiered. With no release date stated, we’re left wondering how the product will be distributed.

Unfortunately, Carnival Row’s second season will not be added to the roster of new movies and television series that will be available on Amazon Prime Video in June 2022.

The Carnival Row Season 2 release date has not been confirmed by Amazon Prime Video at the time of writing this article. Given that it took more than 17 months for the first season to become available on the streaming service after filming ended, we can expect Carnival Row Season 2 to debut in the third or fourth quarter of 2022 if the production schedule is the same.

Carnival Row Season 2 Storyline:

Unsurprisingly, we don’t have a lot of information about Carnival Row’s upcoming season, but there are a lot of hints about what might happen after the show’s current end.

As a result of the conclusion of Carnival Row’s first season, we are aware of one of the key findings: that the government is now working on a new segregation plan to properly segregate magical creatures and normal humans. That’s why Philo made the decision to go into hiding with Vignette so that they can finally be together, which will definitely play an important role in the next season.

Agreus and Imogen, who went to a safer area to spend their lives together, but were forced to return, is another story I’m sure we’ll be returning to in the future. David Gyasi and Tamzin Merchant play the roles of Agreus and Imogen respectively. On the other hand, they refused. As long as the political environment of the legendary animals and humans remains tense, these two love stories will almost certainly continue to evolve.

Carnival Row Season 2 Cast:

The second season will…

  • Orlando Bloom as philosopher Rycroft. One of the protagonists who used to be a detective. At the height of the first season, he gave up his position to join his love in the newly transformed Carnival Row slum. He is a half fairy and now puts his ancestors to shame.
  • Cara Delevingne as Vignette Stonemoss. She is the second main character. She’s a fairy. She is also a rebel. She was a refugee aboard The Burgue, but had to work as a stowaway to pay off her debt. She used to love Philo and their band has been revived.
  • Arty Froushan plays Jonah Breakspear. Jonah is the son of Absalom Breakspear, the murdered chancellor. He was kidnapped and later rescued. We heard that his mother kidnapped him (the witch). After the death of his father, he took charge of the parliament of The Burgue. In Carnival Row Season 2, he is responsible for separating people and ghettoizing faefolk.
  • Tamzin Merchant as Imogen Spurnrose. Imogen fell in love with Agreus, a rich and refined man. The couple left the country before the chaos started.
David Gyasi as Agreus Astrayon. A creature of a faun who has independently amassed a fortune. He fell in love with Imogen and together they evade the rules of the new chancellor.
  • Andrew Gower as Ezra Spurnrose. Ezra is the leader of Spurnrose. He is the sister’s brother. He has desire and retribution in mind for the second season.
  • Karla Crome as Tourmaline Larou. His best buddy from Vignette is the tourmaline. She’s a fairy. She works in a brothel on Carnival Row.
  • Simon McBurney as Runyan Millworthy. Runyan was appointed as Jonah’s senior political advisor in the season one finale for his honesty. We expect him to serve as a moral compass for the future monarch.

Carnival Row Season 2 Trailer:

Where can you watch Carnival Row Season 2?

Amazon Prime Video has already released all eight episodes of Carnival Row Season 1. Prime Studios has announced that Carnival Row Season 2 will also be released on the same popular streaming service. This means Seasons 1 and 2 of this murder mystery series are available on Amazon Prime Video.
