A beautiful love story
Celia met Grzegorz in 2010 when she was 19 years old. They started dating two years later and have been together ever since. For both it was love at first sight. Celia was studying in Bordeaux at the time, while Grzegorz played on loan for Reims and then Nantes from Bordeaux. They then only saw each other on weekends, and after Celia graduated from university, the couple decided that they could no longer live apart, so Celia moved in with Grzegorz.
Celia talked about her first meeting with Grzegorz in an interview in 2018. She compared herself and Grzegorz to a beautiful old marriage. At the time, Jaunat studied management and marketing in her native Bordeaux. She went to college half the week and gained professional experience the other half. She worked in the showroom of a bathroom fitting company. Jaunat eventually became the assistant manager of the company and Grzegorz was a customer in need of tiles for his flat. When she first saw him, all she could think about was how beautiful he looked.
She said he didn’t see her at first because she was behind the desk, then she went into the living room and pretended to write something. Then he approached her and said Bonjour Mademoiselle (Hello Miss), and she was struck by his French accent. Likewise, Grzegorz said that when he first met her, he thought she was gorgeous and tall, and he was fascinated by her openness, compassion, and flirtatious talking style. He then asked for her phone number and called her the next day.
Celia was asked for dinner, but she declined because her parents wouldn’t allow her to see someone she’d just met, so she met him in the afternoon on the patio of a cafe. Celia said she had no idea he was a player since he told her he was a student like her, and she believed him until he later revealed that he was a young footballer aspiring to become a professional. She first assumed he believed that young boys are intrigued by football and want to become footballers but fail, and then he gets over it, but she soon understood how he respects football and how passionate he is. Grzegorz, she says, sees football as a part of his life, a passion and a calling. Celia was by his side throughout his career. She has seen her husband rise from the ashes.
Wedding
Grzegorz proposed to Celia in 2017 during a Christmas vacation in Bora-Bora during a civil wedding ceremony. They married two years later, on Christmas Eve of 2019, in a civil wedding. The wedding took place in Oman at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar resort. Celia took to Instagram to announce their wedding and posted a snapshot of herself. Celia opted for a white suit instead of a wedding dress.
She then shared a photo of herself in her sparkly white wedding dress, captioned “wedding in a heavenly place, which took place at the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar resort in Oman.” The duo now works in their own fields. They have yet to have children.
Owns and operates a boutique
Grzegorz is also a businessman. He and his brother have a shop. In 2020, he announced on Instagram the creation of their second store Balamont, a clothing company in Poznan. Celia believes in her husband’s business and is proud of him.
