What looks a vintage renewal of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle will get the meeting underway on Tuesday afternoon before Honeysuckle and Rachael Blackmore take centre-stage, looking to defend their Champion Hurdle crown.

Blackmore became the first woman to be leading jockey at the Festival when she rode six winners at last year’s meeting but just missed out in the Gold Cup as A Plus Tard was pipped by stablemate Minella Indo.

She rides the same horse in Friday’s showpiece, looking for revenge, but there is an awful lot of top class action to come between now and then.

Date, time and venue

The Cheltenham Festival gets underway on Tuesday, March 15 and will continue until Friday, March 18.

​Cheltenham Racecourse, Prestbury Park is the venue, the track being within walking distance of the town itself.

​There will be seven races per day, with the first going off at 1:30pm and the last at 5:30pm. The feature race is staged at 3:30pm each day. For individual race times, check the full schedule below.
