Emergency crews rushed to the beauty spot in Kent on Monday evening following the tragic discovery.
The child, whose exact age is not yet known, was taken to hospital.
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he was pronounced dead a short while later.
The exact circumstances of the child’s death are not yet known.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Kent Police, HM Coastguard and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended an area near Swingate, Dover on the evening of Monday, April 4.
“A child was taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
