On June 22, CIL and Captives/Others registered growth of 15.20 percent and 88.23 percent by sending 58.98. and 11.05 MT respectively. SCCL registered negative growth of 0.46 percent during the month.
Supply from energy companies grew 30.77 percent in June this year to 64.89 tons, compared to 49.62 tons in June 21 due to increased demand for power. Coal-based electricity generation has registered a growth of 26.58 percent in June 2022 compared to June 2021.
Total electricity generation in June 2022 was 17.73 percent higher than June 2021. However, coal-based electricity generation in June 2022 was 95,880 MU compared to 98,609 MU in May 2022, registering negative growth of 2.77 per year . cent. Total power generation also fell to 1,38,995 MU in June 2022 from 1,40,059 MU in May 2022, registering negative growth of 0.76 percent.
