The growth rate in output in eight key sectors slowed to 0.1 percent in October from 8.7 percent in the same month last year, according to official data released Wednesday. In September are the core sectors production growth came to 7.8 percent.



Production growth of eight infrastructure sectors — coal, Crude oilnatural gas, refinery products, fertilizersteel, cement and power — was 8.2 percent in the April-October period of this fiscal year, compared to 15.6 percent a year ago.

In October, production of crude oil, natural gas, refinery products and cement showed negative growth.
