Corey Stoll and his wife, Nadia Bowers, also work in the entertainment industry. Even though we only hear about Stoll in the media, they are both talented artists. They work together not only in life, but also in their work. The parents have performed together on stage and on television. Working on projects such as Macbeth’s theatrical performances is no easy task given the intensity of the primary characters they have portrayed, and it takes its toll on them. However, they usually don’t take their jobs home with them, and their time at home is spent raising their child.
Don’t bring drama to the stage and don’t take work home.
Stoll and Bowers were cast as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in a series of plays staged by John Doyle in October 2019. Being pitted against each other in such dramatic marital roles gave them a new challenge as a married couple. The Ant-Man actor was chosen first because he had already worked with Doyle. But it took a meeting with Doyle himself to get Bowers cast as Lady Macbeth. The director needed more confidence. He didn’t want their marriage to hinder their performance on stage.
“He just wanted to make sure we weren’t talking about it,” Stoll told Vulture in 2019. “We weren’t going to add much drama to this.”
It was easy for them to work together, even though it was only their second time. They attributed it to their shared acting training, marriage and mutual understanding. They also suspected that Doyle was turning them against each other because of their close relationship. They can provide a degree of chemistry that two artists new to working together would take time to create.
Stoll and Bowers had a great time working together in Macbeth. Yet they were more sensitive to each other’s feelings than their characters. Another thing they worried about was not taking them home from work and letting it disrupt their family life with their child. At home they only completed a few line measurements, nothing too strenuous. They also discussed their profession with each other as they had duties towards their child. Stoll and Bowers realized they couldn’t give up their duties just because they were exhausted after a long day of work.

Stoll and Bowers met in 2008 at an alumni meeting at NYU. In 2003, he graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She also graduated there, albeit uncertain when. They started dating and he was under the impression that he was married to his then girlfriend. He had no idea what marriage entailed. Before getting married, the couple had plans to start a family. So they tried to have a child, but failed for almost a year. This conflict has shaped them both.
In August 2015, he told Elle, “This was our first real hurdle — emotionally and in terms of growing up and making choices together.” It helped them understand that their love and relationship deserved to be celebrated and declared in front of everyone they cared about.
Stoll proposed to his wife in October 2014 and the couple married on June 21, 2015. They were expecting their first child by the time they married. Their child was born in November 2015. He started school in 2018 – Bowers and Stoll enthusiastically captured his first day of school on September 19, 2018.
