Daredevil Season 4 has been confirmed by both Netflix and Disney. This news came after Matt Murdock aka Daredevil Himself cameo in SpiderMan No Way Home.
Daredevil is an American superhero crime drama series on Netflix. This superhero series was created by Drew Goddard† Netflix has many Marvel superhero series, but Marvel’s Daredevil is the most successful and critically acclaimed Netflix show. But did they cancel Daredevil Season 4 and Charlie Cox return in MCU? Let’s see.
IMPORTANT UPDATE ON DAREDEVIL SEASON 4
Those bits of gossip have finally been confirmed, with the Daredevil star making his introductions to the MCU through two major media outlets.
D’Onofrio’s new visit to the MCU was spurred on in the penultimate episode of Hawkeye Season 1, with his personality to play a bigger role in the finale. Meanwhile, Cox made his long-awaited return with a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In December 2021, Marvel executive Kevin Feige confirmed the projection in a meeting with Cinemablend: “If you were to see Daredevil in future stuff, Charlie Cox would be, yes, the actor who plays Daredevil.” However, Feige informed them that there are no specific Daredevil projects that have been confirmed.

As verified, the developing theory is that the two characters could play a big part in Marvel’s Echo, which it almost certainly looks like given the ways the characters have emerged in the MCU since then. Bringing back Daredevil as a Disney Plus one-of-a-kind would bring a lot of promotion.
In February 2022, Cox discussed his partnership with Spider-Man: No Way Home during his meeting with HeyUGuys, where he shared a story about an experience he had with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige in late 2019. Coincidentally, the two met one night on Broadway, and as Cox points out, Feige didn’t raise Daredevil once.
“I did a play with Tom Hiddleston in 2019 and Kevin Feige came to see our play,” said Cox. “And, you know, I shook his hand and said hello and he said how much he enjoyed the piece. Never called Daredevil or anything like that. So it turns out he’s also a really good liar.”
Cox also said he knows a “little bit” of what’s next for Daredevil, but he hasn’t shared any details about it.

Speaking to THR, Cox said, “Look, I have no idea what anyone’s plans are at this stage, but I guess there’s more for us to do.”
“I know a little bit – not a huge amount – just a little bit. I imagine, I hope, that our worlds will collide again because the things we’ve done in the past have been great fun to do, and he is such an incredible actor. We have to start every conversation with ‘What do you know?’ because you have to be careful, it’s really exciting.”
In March 2022, another gap suggests that another Daredevil venture may soon be launched for Disney+. The report comes from noted scooper Murphy’s Multiverse, who shared that Marvel Studios has formed another LLC (limited obligation organization) called “Blind Faith Productions LLC,” which could be a smart suggestion for Daredevil. While this hiatus doesn’t confirm a Daredevil venture coming, the LLC’s name refers to both Daredevil’s actual traits and his alien beliefs, and with Daredevil and The other Defenders coming soon to Disney+, so this could be a little more ?
Also, a new issue of Production Weekly showed a notice for a “Daredevil Reboot,” claiming Kevin Feige and Chris Gray as the creators of the show.
Additionally, GWW’s previous editor-in-chief, KC Walsh, has revealed that the show will begin shooting towards the end of 2022 or sometime in 2023, so almost certainly Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock by 2024 at the latest.
By early April 2022, it was revealed that Stacy’s Caballero’s site is revealing that she has ditched the impending Disney+ series Echo, in which Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are apparently close to lead actor Alaqua Cox. A close look at Caballero’s various activities reveals that she has put in various endeavors for Marvel Studios and Disney creations, lending credence to her dedication to the venture, though obscuring the number of potential jobs the entertainers will have in the new series. The resume also reveals that the business will be completed in 2023.
Netflix Canceled Daredevil Season 4
English actor Charlie Cox plays the role of Daredevil in the Marvel series. In this show this English man is known by the name Matt Murdock who is a lawyer by day and a superhero daredevil by night who fights for good.
The first season of the show came in the year 2015 and it was a hit and people started craving for Daredevil Season 4. The second season of Daredevil was released in 2016 and the third season was released in 2018.
Of course fans wanted the new season because they want to know what’s going to happen. But 2018 was tough for fans of Daredevil and Cox as Netflix canceled this hit show on November 29, 2018. Fans were devastated, but there were rumors that Disney might do something about it.
What does Charlie Cox have to say?
Fans were hoping that Daredevil Season 4 will one day be available to watch Disney+ as Disney will revive this show someday. But those hopes were shattered when Cox’s interview with ComicBook.com came out.
When Cox was asked about the future of the Daredevil, the Stardust star said, “I don’t feel the road, no. And I don’t know why I don’t feel the way. But I haven’t been given any reason to believe that.
And from a cynical point of view, it feels like maybe I’m trying to protect myself because I’d love to do it again.” The 38-year-old also said it would be difficult to reunite all the co-stars.
The Defenders star added: “When you make a television show, it’s so complicated, and people’s schedules are so difficult and contracts are so difficult. So that’s why, as an actor, when you sign up for a TV program, you’re drawing six years off your life, because if you don’t, it’s going to be too complicated to try and get all those moving pieces.”
Daredevil comes in again…..
Well, Daredevil Season 4 is off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see our hero Daredevil anymore. Our hero Daredevil is coming. Yes, you’ve heard that Daredevil is returning, but this time in a movie. Don’t get too excited, this isn’t a Daredevil solo movie, but Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil in Spiderman’s third installment.
If we are to believe the reliable website Murphy’s Multiverse, we can say that Cox’s character will be returning soon.
Then in November 2018 Netflix canceled the show, the US streaming platform said: “While the series has ended on Netflix, the three existing seasons will remain in the service for the next few years, while the Daredevil character lives on in future projects for Marvel.”
If we believe this and Murphy’s Multiverse, we can say that Daredevil returns and we can finally see our hero again, but this time he will fight with Spiderman.
Will Charlie Cox return as Daredevil in Spiderman 3 alongside Tom Holland?
Many people have speculated and theorized that Charlie Cox will finally enter the mainstream MCU in Spiderman 3. And there are many good reasons to support that theory.
First of all, both Daredevil and Peter Parker are from New York City, making them literal neighbors. Second is the end of Spiderman far from home or which Mysterio and JJJ everyone cheated† Mysterio made everyone believe that Spiderman killed him and is actually the bad guy. This would mean that if Peter Parker is arrested by the police, he will need a lawyer. And who could be a better lawyer in NYC than the daredevil himself?
Why was Daredevil season 4 canceled?
Daredevil and Punisher are the best series from Marvel, there is no arguing about that. And I don’t think anyone reading this article would claim that. So the question is why Daredevil season 4 was canceled alongside other Marvel shows.
Well, the answer to that question is very simple. Marvel and Netflix had a contract that prevents Marvel from releasing one of their series only on Netflix. And when Netflix canceled Daredevil along with every Marvel show, Marvel couldn’t do anything because of the contract.
Also at that time, Disney, which owns Marvel, was not dependent on Netflix to release its shows on the OTT platform.
But their contract was set to expire in the fall of 2020. And now Disney has their own streaming platform that has proved very successful in launching its own shows like WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
So there’s a very good chance that Disney will be able to revive Daredevil Season 4, Punisher Season 3, and all the other Marvel shows that have been canceled.
Spiderman 3 updates and possibly Daredevil season 4
Tom Holland is all set for the next installment of Marvel’s Spiderman. Together with Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon will be part of Spiderman 3.
If we believe the reports, we might see Benedict Cumberbatch, aka Doctor, oddly in the upcoming movie. There are also rumors that past actors who have played the roles of Spiderman will also have a part in the upcoming film.
That means we can see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield along with Emma Watson and Kirsten Dunst in the new movie. If we believe reports, we will see Spiderman 3 appear on the big screen on December 17, 2021.
In the meantime, if you want to revisit and watch the previous two seasons of Daredevil, you can do so at Netflix†
