Reliance Retail-based Dunzos B2B logistics arm, Dunzo for Business (D4B), announced on Thursday its partnership with the governments Open Network for Digital commerce (ONDC) to provide last-mile delivery services to local businesses on the ONDC network.

D4B has a fleet of more than 75,000 delivery partners, connects more than 20,000 merchants with customers and fulfills millions of orders every month. GrowthFalcons is one of the first companies to serve D4B on ONDC.

“We are very pleased to have a strong logistics provider such as Dunzo for Business on the ONDC network. This partnership will accelerate our efforts to make last-mile logistics accessible to a wider audience of buyers and sellers across India,” said T Koshy, CEO, ONDC.

D4B’s major merchants include Fynd, Wellness Forever, DotPe, EatClub, and Magicpin.

“As we begin our journey with major metros, we will scale our services to more cities and become the backbone for intra-city deliveries in the Indian e-commerce ecosystem,” said Dalvir Suri, co-founder of Dunzo and head of Dunzo for Business. . (D4B).

Dunzo is present in the top eight cities in India and has more than 10 million users. It is supported by retail dependencyGoogle, Blume Ventures, Aspada Investments, LightBox Ventures, STIC Ventures and 3L Capital, among others.

With ONDC, a Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-like initiative by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to promote open networks, the government is seeking to create the largest interoperable open platform in an effort to break e-commerce monopolies and create a more democratized digital marketplace by bringing micro, small and medium enterprises and small traders online.

Dunzo raised $240 million earlier this year to expand its presence in India. ONDC recently joined Go Frugal, Paytm, Digit, PhonePe and Loadshare, among others.

Ecommerce platform Snapdeal will debut at ONDC this month.
