An experimental Three Lions line-up fell to an insipid 1-0 loss in Hungary in both nation’s League A Group 3 opener.
Gareth Southgate will make changes and will hope a trip to Munich brings more out of his team. One change could see Bukayo Saka come in for James Justin at left wing-back, the debutant a doubt after being taken off at half-time with a calf injury.
Phil Foden is out with Covid, but his Manchester City team-mates Raheem Sterling has recovered from illness and is expected to come in. He could be joined by Jack Grealish, another City forward, to make up a front three with captain Harry Kane.
Jude Bellingham will be keen to start in Germany having enjoyed so much success with Borussia Dortmund. He could come in for Kelvin Phillips to partner Declan Rice.
Kieran Trippier will be gunning for a start after missing out against Hungary and Southgate may prefer the Newcastle man’s better defensive abilities over Trent Alexander-Arnold.
