ed Bull jumped back to second in the Formula One Constructors’ Championship after the first sprint race of 2022.
Max Verstappen’s victory at Imola ensured he will start Sunday’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix on pole with the 14-point haul lifting his team past Mercedes.
Few expected the Mercs to be so close to the top but their success has been partly down to Red Bull’s reliability issues, which have caused two retirements for Max Verstappen and one for Sergio Perez.
Ferrari remain on top after clocking a reasonable 12 points on Saturday, with Charles Leclerc second and Carlos Sainz fourth.
There was also a good return for McLaren as Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo secured fifth and sixth, respectively.
