Finding the best deals during Amazon Prime Day 2022

Outside of Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday, Prime Day has become one of the biggest shopping events of the year. It’s a two-day journey in which Amazon Prime members are likely to find some of the best prices yet for popular tech products like video games, gaming peripherals, laptops, 4K TVs, phones, PC accessories, and more. Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2022 will take place on Tuesday, July 12 and will run through Wednesday, July 13. While Prime Day may not be all that Amazon has in store for major 2022 sales events. It is reportedly planning a second sale for Prime subscribers in the fall.

If you plan to buy Prime Day deals on Amazon, you need to sign up for Amazon Prime. Not all of the best Prime Day 2022 deals will show up on Amazon, though. Many other retailers including Walmart, Target, Best Buy and others will also be hosting competitive deal events which we’ll tell you all about in our upcoming deals. So stay tuned.

You can count on us to publish only the best deals, but if you want to be among the first to know about price drops on products you’re already interested in, you can set up a price tracking site. † We’ve included a few of our favorite examples below, pointing out how they can help you track deals in slightly different ways, with their own special features.

They’re all free to use, and once you’ve added products you’re interested in, you can rest assured that you won’t need to take any action until it’s time to make a purchase.

CamelCamelCamel is the best tracker for Amazon products

CamelCamelCamel tracks the price of every product sold on Amazon and can send you alerts when they’ve reached the price that’s right for you. As soon as a product has reached the desired price that you have set or lower, you will receive an email about this. CamelCamelCamel nothing but works for products on Amazon though, so you’ll need to use a different one below if you want to track price movements on Walmart, Best Buy, and other retailers.

To track prices and receive email notifications, you must create a free account. I also recommend installing the site browser extension, called The Camelizer, which allows you to view price trends by product and allows you to set the price you want without leaving Amazon. It’s fantastic and easy to use.

As soon as one of the products falls below the amount stated in your price alert, you will immediately receive an e-mail. And if you already have a wish list saved on Amazon, you can import it in CamelCamelCamel.

Like CamelCamelCamel, the Honey browser extension can track the prices of items you are interested in, and will notify you when a deal is found. However, unlike the price tracking site above, Honey also searches every site you visit for offer codes that can be applied to your checkout total to save you even more money.

Honey works with Amazon and many other retailers, and you can add items to your “Droplist”, which is really just a wish list. For example, on Best Buy, the option to add an item to your list will appear on the product’s image and you can select the duration of the price display and the percentage discount you are looking for.

slick deals collects some of the best deals on the web, as discovered by its team and user community. It’s a great place to checkout to find a curated array of deals on things you might be interested in. The site also allows you to create deal alerts based on keywords, but they work a little differently on slick deals than they do with the above sites.

You can type in a product name, such as “Nintendo Switch” or a retailer’s name, and once it’s added to your list, you’ll be notified if it meets your criteria. You can set it up to alert you to literally any deal related to your keyword, or you can filter out deals so you’re notified if, say, the deal is popular enough to hit it slick deals‘ front page or if it has received a high rating from the community.

As you might have guessed by the name, PC Part Picker helps you choose PC components that are compatible with each other, making the already daunting task of putting together a DIY PC setup a bit easier.

That in itself makes it a crucial tool, but it’s also an excellent price tracker, showing you a detailed chart illustrating the current and past price movement for a particular component. It lets you build the PC of your dreams, and you can notify you by email of price drops from major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, B&H Photo and more. That way, for example, you can choose to wait to buy everything until that processor or graphics card has a lower price that you know has hit before.

Look outside Amazon

Prime Day is an event that shows off Amazon’s massive retail presence, so naturally other chain stores are taking notice. That’s why you can sometimes find better deals at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Newegg, all of which have announced they’ll be offering a slew of deals during Prime Day. At the very least, they can match Amazon’s prices if you ask.
