Five adults were found dead Friday at a Maryland home, sheriff’s officials said.
Delegates from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the La Plata Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the home in La Plata, the sheriff’s office, around 4 p.m. tweeted.
La Plata officers found five adults dead inside, the sheriff’s office said.
“Detectives are working to establish the identities and relationships between everyone involved,” the agency said tweeted Friday night.
An unidentified homeowner spoke to investigators, NBC Washington said, and no suspects are involved.
The sheriff’s office initially told the station that the homeowner discovered and reported the bodies.
Representatives from the sheriff’s offices and county coroner’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
NBC Washington reported on the air that the house is in the Agricopia neighborhood of La Plata, about 35 miles south of Washington, D.C.
