Earlier BharatPe founder and director Ashneer Grover has written his memoir called ‘Doglapan’ (Double Standards) – The Hard Truth About Life and Startups’ which is available for pre-order and will be available next month.

Billed as an “unbound tale of” Ashneer Grover – Startup India’s favorite and misunderstood poster boy”, the memoir has been called a “raw, heartbreaking in its honesty and completely from the heart, storytelling at its finest”.

“Is kitab ko padhne ke baad ya to aap ek dum apni naukri chhod doge ya fir zindagi bhar naukri hi karoge. At least beuk mein nahi phase rahoge (After reading this book you will either quit your job or just lose your whole At least you’re not in the middle,” Grover said in a tweet on Friday.

On Friday, he tweeted again: “So overnight my autobiography has become the No. 1 bestseller. And SOLD OUT too!! I’ve run out to print more copies – get yours before my publisher reaches its maximum capacity.”

According to the short description of the book on Amazon.in, a young boy with a ‘refugee’ label growing up in Malviya Nagar in Delhi surpasses his circumstances by becoming a rank holder at the pinnacle of academic excellence in India, IIT Delhi.

“Going on with an MBA in the hallowed halls of IIM Ahmedabad, building a career as an investment banker with Kotak Investment Banking and AmEx, and being pivotal in the creation of two unicorns – Grofers, as CFO, and BharatPe, as co-founder ” it says.

As a judge in the hit TV show Shark Tank India, Grover became a household name even when his life was turned upside down.

“Controversy, media coverage, gossip on social media is declining, making it difficult to distinguish fact from fiction,” read the description.

He said the book will provide readers with “absolute clarity” about life.

After defrauding the fintech platform BharatPe, Ashneer and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover have founded a new company called Third Unicorn Private Ltd, and are planning to launch a third startup.

Before co-founding BharatPe, Grover was associated with Grofers, which is now a 15-minute delivery platform that Blinkit has been acquired by Zomato for Rs 4,447 crore (approximately $568 million) in an all-stock deal.

According to records accessible through Tofler, the Grovers have now registered a new company to begin their new journey.

The nature of the startup is not yet known.

Ashneer and Madhuri, former Head of Controls at BharatPe, are both directors of the company that was founded in July this year.
