The Moon Knight series about Disney+ was great. This series features the dissociative identity disorder of Marc Spector sharing his body with Steven Grant, later in the Moon Knight post credit scene we don’t get to know the one Marc Spector shares the body with but there is another identity which is Jake Lockley. We get a lot of hints in Jake Lockley’s series, but we didn’t get to see Jake Lockley in the full Moon Knight series. There was another deleted reference scene, and it had to do with: Thor: Love and Thunder villain Christian Bale‘s Gorr The God Butcher.

The Moon Knight series was full of suspense and exciting. This series also features some action scenes. We also get to see Scarlet Scarab, a new superheroine as Egypt’s first superheroine. But the most important thing that we can introduce to the Moon Knight series is the Egyptian gods, for that we only know that there are Norse gods that we get to see in the Thor franchise. In Thor: Love and Thunder we also get to see Greek gods while Zeus is played by Russell Crowe† The villain of Thor: Love and Thunder will be Gorr The God Butcher and he is getting a reference in the Moon Knight series because the scene was deleted and it was confirmed by James Slater, the lead writer and executive producer of Moon Knight.

What did James Slater say about Gorr The God Butcher in the Moon Knight series?

In an interview, James Slater, lead writer and executive producer of Disney+’s Moon Knight series, revealed that the series has an existence of Gorr The God Butcher at various times, either before or after the events of Thor Love and Thunder. The words in that interview are listed below.

“Both much and little. But the reality is we had no idea when we started working on the show, we didn’t know when we were debuting. We always assumed it would be later down the road, and we’d be out in the fall of 2022, and we thought we’d probably follow Thor. But at the time, Thor also didn’t necessarily have a concrete release date, everything was kind of in the air, and it’s like we might be ahead of Thor, or we might end up. So there were different versions of the script that the gods would talk about. This thing with Gorr the God Butcher just happened, and now we have this new problem. And then there were other versions of the script that they talked about. We hear rumors that Gods are dying, now is not the right time to get involved. Like trying to have our cake and eat it too.

Michael Waldron words in that interview.

About Gorr The God Butcher

Gorr the God Butcher is the mighty supervillain in Marvel comics. Gorr the God Butcher will appear in the upcoming movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is Thor: Love and Thunder. Gorr the God Butcher will be played by Batman star Christian Bale. He kills all the gods and he has a weapon called All Black. He also had Godbom destroy all gods.

The Moon Knight series was one of the best series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this series, we get to see Egyptian gods like Taweret, Khonshu, Ammit, etc. But many ushapti (the dolls where the Egyptian gods were kept) were broken, fans speculated that these were broken by Gorr The God Butcher or there will be some reference to Gorr The God Butcher, but there was no reference. In an interview, James Slater says they have a lot of scripts, one of the scripts has a reference to Gorr, but Marvel has decided not to give the reference to him in the Moon Knight series. All episodes of Moon Knight will be streamed on Disney+.
