Fans first met Clarice Sterling’s character in the 1991 psychological horror film The Silence of the Lambs. And in 2021, CBS released the spin-off series about following the character after the Buffalo Bill case. Since the end of the first season left us with many unanswered questions, many fans are now eagerly awaiting what will happen next in Clarice Season 2.

Clarice is an American psychological horror series that debuted on the CBS network in February 2021, the spin-off series The Silence of The Lambs is a standalone story of the famous detective from the franchise Clarice Sterling.

What happens in Clarice season 2?

In the first season of the series, Clarice went back to the Buffalo Bill case. In it, we saw her participate in the Violent Crime Apprehension Program (ViCAP). However, what happened after she joined the team only added to the trauma we’ve seen her deal with all season. Meanwhile, she’s not done with the Buffalo Bill chapter of her life.

Shocking facts from the case emerge from time to time and interfere with her current work. Clarice investigates several issues as a member of the team in the first season, as her personal and professional worlds continue to intersect.

Clarice spent the first season trying to steer Agent Starling away from the two serial killers she is inextricably linked to, Buffalo Bill and Hannibal Lecter. Hannibal was never shown or referred to Clarice for legal concerns. Instead, the show focused on Starling coping with her lingering fear of Buffalo Bill.

Clarice also used Thomas Harris’ work The Silence of the Lambs as a springboard to flesh out Starling’s past, revealing a more complicated family life than she described to Lecter. In addition, Starling had erroneously built her self-image around her late father and Clarice had suppressed memories of his transgressions.

When the series returns with Clarice Season 2, Clarice Sterling’s story will likely continue after the events of the first season. Our protagonist will go on a journey of self-discovery in the second season. On the other hand, she continues to work as a ViCAP agent. The work she regularly finds herself in puts her life on the line. This could continue into the second season. The season can also provide a more detailed picture of Clarice’s past.

Cast Details!

Clarice season 2

The cast of the psychological thriller series includes Rebebecca Breeds in the title role of Clarice Starling. The series also stars Michael Cudlitz as Paul Krendler, Lucca De Oliveira as Thomas Esquivel and Kal Penn as Shaan Tripartite. Meanwhile, other cast members in the series feature Nick Sandow as Murray Clarke, Devyb A. Tyler as Ardelia Mapp, and Marnee Carpenter trying on Catherine Martin’s character. When the series returns with Clarice Season 2, most of the main protagonists are expected to return in their respective roles. On the other hand, we can also see some new cast members appear.

When will Clarice season 2 be back?

The first season of the thriller series premiered on CBS on February 11, 2021, and the season ended with the season finale premiering on June 24, 2021. It’s been about a year since the premiere of the first season. However, the CBS network has yet to make an announcement about the show’s renewal for Clarice Season 2.

Clarice season 2

But we know that the first season has done extremely well on the network. And on top of that, The Silence of the Lamb franchise also has a huge cult fan base. Therefore, based on all these facts, like many fans of the show, we remain hopeful that the series will return for Clarice Season 2 soon.
