Netflix’s Zero is a type of TV drama that deals with the social and economic conditions of people of color in Italy under the banner of the superhero genre. The show’s first season left fans with some unanswered questions. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the show with Zero Season 2. So let’s see when and if it actually happens.
Netflix’s Zero, created by Massimo Vavassori and Antonio Dikele Distefano, is a superhero drama series that debuted on the streaming service in April 2021. The show revolves around Omar, who lives in the suburbs of Milan. The show explores his journey as he tries to deal with his superpowers.
What to expect from Zero Season 2?
At the end of Zero’s first season, Omar uses his invisibility to free Anna from kidnappers. Only to find that he is unable to transform back into his normal self. To get close to Zero and his sister, The Virgin takes two actions. She temporarily cures Awa of her sight before taking Omar to a strange ritual where he sees both his deceased mother and father.
The first eight episodes feature several paintings that appear to belong to Omar and Awa, but their meaning is still unknown. However, Virgo has both the ability to become invisible and access private information about Omar and Awa’s family. Zero Season 2 will presumably be boosted by what appears to be a revelation that Omar’s mother’s death was staged or that she lives in a separate dimension.

The cast of the series stars Giuseppe Dave Seke as Omar of Zero, Haroun plays Sharif, and Beatrice Grannò plays Anna Ricci. Then there’s Richard Dylan Magon as Momo, Daniela Scattolin as Sara and Madior Fall who plays Inno. Also in the cast we have Virginia Diop as Awa, Alex Damme as Thierno and Frank Crudele as Sandokan. And Giordano de Plano in the role of Mr. Ricci.
The show’s cast also includes Ashai Arop as Marieme, Roberta Mattei as The Virgin. And Livio Kone as Honey, among others. If the show returns with Zero Season 2, most of the main protagonists are expected to return in their roles. At the same time, we may also see some new characters in the second season.
Zero Season 2: Release Date
The first season of the Italian series premiered on Netflix on April 21, 2021. Meanwhile, as far as the second season of the series show is concerned, Netflix has already officially renewed the show. But we know that the first season ended on a cliffhanger, and fans are also demanding a second season.
So if everything falls into place, we could see the show getting a refresh. But keep in mind that this is just our speculation at this point. And streaming giant Netflix holds the cards over the show’s future. If Netflix continues its regular schedule, Zero Season 2 may be approved in the summer of 2022, and production will begin in the months that follow.
