Amazon Business

Amazon Business is launching a special event, Small Business Month, in September to celebrate small businesses with exclusive savings and grants.

Today Amazon Business launches grants awarding more than $255,000 (conditions apply) to a handful of growing small businesses. No obligations. The prize money can be spent in any way the companies see fit.

Types of grants include:

  • Grand prize
    • Number of recipients: 1
    • Monetary Grant: $25,000
  • Finalists
    • Number of recipients: 4
    • Monetary Grant: $20,000
  • Semi Finalists
    • Number of recipients: 10
    • Monetary Grant: $15,000

Interested? You should be. To apply, applicants must be an Amazon Business customer. No customer? Register here. Applicants must also be located in the US and have annual revenue of $1 million or less. One entry is allowed per Amazon Business account and all applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Applications must be submitted by September 30. When applying, companies are asked:

  1. Why did you start your business?
  2. What is your company’s mission or vision?
  3. How does your company innovate or add value for your customers?
  4. How would receiving the scholarship help you?
  5. What is a major problem your company has faced and how have you sustained it?
  6. How does your business give back to the community?

Only fully completed applications will be processed. londonbusinessblog.com.com selects 15 small business grant applicants to advance to the next round, where existing Amazon Business customers will vote for their favorite companies between October 10 and 20. Amazon Business will announce the recipients on October 25.

In addition to monetary grants, all winners will receive prizes related to Amazon Business services and offerings, such as a free Business Prime account and more.
