Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu is a beloved anime series that aired in 2019 in the genre of comedy and slice of life. The anime is inspired by a manga series written and illustrated by the Japanese writer Katsuwo. After crunchy rolls licensed the show, it became available worldwide. HitoriBocchi was created by C2C studio, which has produced successful anime in recent years. We know the studio from other popular anime series like “WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world?” Are you busy? † More than a year has passed since the release of the anime and fans are raving about the second season. So, HitoriBocchi has been extended for a second season

HitoriBocchi Season 2 Plot

Hitori Bocchi is someone who has trouble socializing, can’t speak well with people, overly cautious, surprisingly adept at avoiding people, cramps in his feet if he exerts too much, feels good when alone. If he is overly nervous, he hates and often finds new plans. Now he is going to high school and his only friend, Yawara Kai, is going to another school. This leaves Bocchi alone and must befriend the classmates around him before Kai speaks to him again.

There is not much speculation about the second season of the series. The fact is, however, that the series finale has a sense of incompleteness. Some fans think the show’s first season was missing a male character, and maybe a little romance could add color to the second season. Of course these are just predictions; for now, we can only see what will happen in the second season.

Will there be a second season of the series?

As of December 2020, the series has not yet been renewed for a second season at the time of writing. It’s very normal for a lot of anime. It could be years before the series is renewed for another season. We can speculate about a new season for now. The most critical factors for seeing a new season of anime are manga status (sufficiency of the source material) and popularity (BluRay DVD sales)

Manga volumes compared to anime

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, the anime is an adaptation of the manga written by Katsuwo. The manga series published by ASCII Media Works was published in Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2013. The good news is that the manga series is still running today. The series, which is published annually in 1 part, consists of 6 parts in total.

The anime series covers chapters 1-32, 34, 36 and 46 of the manga. This is in the middle of the fourth part. The manga series consists of a total of 72 chapters. In this case, the material situation for a new season is a bit critical. In a simple proportion, if the second season of the series will have as much script as the first season, then at least one more manga volume must be published to see a new season.

Pacific Rim Anime Season 2

The anime reviews look average. The series, which got 7.52 points in the Myanimelist, also has a score of 7.0 in the IMDB. But what’s more important is popularity. According to our statistics, the popularity rating of the series is 65.3%. This score does not seem impossible to see a new season.

When is the second season release date?

The series has not yet been renewed for a new seasonbut we’re looking at a new season positive as a result of the above assessment. However, we think production of the anime will start after at least one more volume has been published. This means that we won’t see a new season of the series until sometime in 2022. There is no clear news for a new season yet. Until then we recommend the most popular anime series of 2020.

Below are two anime productions that anime studio C2C has planned for next year, but there are no plans for HitoriBocchi yet. We will update here when information comes out of the studio.

PuraOre: Pride of Orange October 2021 Part of a multimedia project by CyberAgent and DMM Games.
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy 2021 Adaptation of a light novel series written by Kei Azumi.
