The JSW Technology Hub will be established within IIT Bombay’s Center of Excellence in Steel Technology (CoEST). The main goal would be to expand production of quality steel while reducing carbon emissions.

JSW and IIT Bombay will collaborate on research, training and engineering studies on new and emerging steel technologies.
IIT Bombay will also establish the Sajjan Jindal Steel Professor Chair to facilitate targeted training and research on new and emerging technologies in steelmaking.
A joint steering committee with representation from both IIT Bombay and JSW Steel will be established to direct the technical cooperation between the two entities.
