infosys is the most recent entry on the list of IT companies tackling employee side jobs. However, the IT giant is working on a system that will allow employees to work on remote projects as well.



Without going into the numbers, Infosys CEO Salil Parikh said the company has let go of its employees who worked at other companies in the past year.

“Where there are confidentiality issues, we have let them go,” Parikh said at the press conference announcing the Q2 results on Thursday.

However, Parikh said Infosys is considering a policy that would allow employees to work on other projects inside and outside Infosys.

earlier wipro Chair Rishad Premjic had expressed concern about the issue of employees’ side jobs.

A few weeks ago, Premji stated that Wipro had fired 300 employees at this point.

Amid reports of IT companies delaying or putting new hires on hold, Infosys CFO Nilanjan Roy said there was no delay in boarding freshmen.

He said Infosys hired 40,000 freshmen in the first half of the fiscal year.
