Aubrey grew up along with two of her younger siblings having two siblings, Renee and Natalie. Aubrey began her first studies at a Catholic girls’ school called Ursuline Academy in her hometown. She graduated from high school in 2002. She then received a film degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2006. Plaza suffered a stroke when she was 20 years old, which left her with pronounced aphasia and acute paralysis. She had a transient ischemic episode a few years later on the set of “Parks and Recreation.”

After finishing her education, Aubrey Plaza switched to acting in 2007. She began performing improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. She has also trained and worked in various departments under NBC Universal companies. Meanwhile, Aubrey worked as an assistant director for Bennett Davlin in a short film titled “TC3” in the early days of her career.

However, Aubrey Plaza started to get noticed in the TV world after she was cast in the series “Parks and Recreation: Road Trip”. Her role in the animated series Avatar, The Legend Of Korra, was highly acclaimed and also earned her an award. After that, the actress got a lead role in the romantic SciFi comedy series Safety Not Guaranteed. Meanwhile, Plaza also contributed to the successful animation film “Monsters University in 2013.

Furthermore, recent films in Aubrey Plaza’s portfolio include appearances in such films as The Little Hours. She was also a co-producer with Elizabeth Destro. Aubrey has also worked as a producer on the animated film The Ark and the Aardvark and a comedy film, An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
