He became an intern for Big Hit Entertainment after clearing the audition in Daegu.
In 2014, the singer completed his graduation from Korean Arts High School and enrolled in Global Cyber University. Thereafter, V completed his major in Broadcasting and Entertainment in August 2020. In addition to his musical endeavors, V has also dabbled in acting. V made his acting debut in 2016 in KBS2’s historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth as a supporting actor. He is the one who came up with the now famous BTS phrase “I purple you”. UNICEF has also used it in its anti-bullying efforts.
