Let’s find out!
Is Orange Is The New Black Season 8 Coming?
The seventh season of the prison comedy-drama series premiered on Netflix on July 26, 2019. And sadly, we have to inform fans that the show has officially ended after seven seasons and 91 episodes. Orange Is The New Black season 8 will not return. While some fans are discouraged by the end of the series. On the other hand, some are content that the series has reached its natural point of conclusion rather than being abruptly canceled.
What happened last season?
Last season it was clear that Piper was having a hard time adjusting to life outside of Litchfield Prison. She had to fill in for Neri and Cal because she couldn’t afford her rent and legal costs. Meanwhile, Alex tried to get Badison out. So she placed a telephone in Badison’s room. Taystee found the phone and a fight broke out between the two, resulting in solitary confinement.
The last episode of the seventh season concluded with a montage that delves into the lives of some characters. Alex is transferred to the Ohio prison, which also houses Big Boo, Anita, Yoga Jones, Gina, Sankey and others. Nicky became a mother figure to a handful of inmates. At the ICE office, Flaca assisted the detainees. Meanwhile, Gloria is reunited with her children.
On the other hand, Blanca won the case and chose to fix things between Diablo and Honduras. Taystee started the Poussey Washington Fund with the support of Suzanne and a little help from Judy King. The flute player decided to move to Ohio to be with Alex, start over, and effectively visit him in prison.
Orange is the new black cast!
The cast of the Netflix comedy-drama series includes ensemble power actors. The show stars Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, Laura Prepon as Alex Vause and Michael J. Harney as Sam Healy. The series also features Michelle Hurst as Claudette Pelage, Kate Mulgrew as Galina Reznikov. Additionally, the cast includes Jason Biggs as Larry Bloom and Uzo Aduba who plays Suzanne Warren.
Then there’s Danielle Brooks as Tasha Jefferson and Natasha Lyonne as Nicky Nichols, among others. If the series is relaunched for Orange Is The New Black season 8, viewers can expect most of these cast members to return to their respective roles. Elsewhere, the potential eighth season could also bring some new faces to the screen.
Why is Tasha the smartest prisoner?
Tasha Jefferson is one of the most beloved characters in Orange Is the New Black, and the difficulties she faces are appalling. However, she is gradually making the most of her life sentence by helping inmates develop their abilities and prepare them for a successful future. But it’s not just her tutoring skills later in the series that make her one of the show’s sharpest characters.
Tasha demonstrates her brains long before teaching others arithmetic, while striving to always improve herself and the rest of her group. Tasha’s anger and disappointment sometimes show up, but it’s a problem most people face in prison. She is self-possessed and clearly willing to function on the outside as a sincere member of society, which is more than can be said of most people.
