Jeffery Lamar Williams popularly known as Young Thug is an American rapper, who has made a name for himself with several hit songs such as Best Friends, Livin It Up, Bubbly and others. The rap industry, previously thought to be dominated by ‘Macho Men’, is now undergoing a revolution. With artists like Lil Nax coming out, many people are wondering if Young Thug is gay? Here’s what we know about him.

Is Young Thug gay?

It’s not new for figures from the popular entertainment and music industry to be surrounded by gay rumours. But in 2016, when Young Thug wore a “colorful dress” on the cover of his Jeffery project, many people took it as a hint and started speculating that the rapper was gay. However, in 2019, Young Thug denied all such rumors during a conversation with the press, claiming that he is straight. He even went on to say that he is arguably the “most sincere person in the world.”

The rapper didn’t stop there, as he also made controversial comments saying, “I’m the most straight guy in the world. I hate guys. F**k are you talking about? I ain’t even having a threesome without n*** a!” That’s why we can’t stress the fact more than Young Thug himself did that he’s not gay, and he also thinks his fellow rapper Lil Nax shouldn’t have come out to the people either, because he thinks they’re just judging.

Early life!

Jeffery Lamar Williams, or Young Thug, was born on August 16, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born into a poor, struggling household and his mother, Sherina Jackson, raised her children through hardships and hardships. Jeffery spent most of his childhood and adolescence in the rough neighborhood where he was born. As a result, he got involved in crime, drugs and gambling at a very young age.

Jeff was caught and sent to a youth correctional facility for four years after breaking his teacher’s arm only in sixth grade. He was never the same after the incident and he started playing games with his brothers more. At seventeen he became a father and realized his passion for rap music. And realized that he no longer wanted to live in poverty.

Career!

After releasing his debut mixtape, “I Came from Nothing,” Young Thug caught the eye of Gucci Mane, who was engraved by his work. He immediately signed him to his label after noticing that his work was distinctive. Under Gucci’s label, he launched his other mixtape in 2013 called “1017 Thug”. His songs were successful and he was featured in ‘Pitchfork: Albums of the Year’ and ‘Complex’, which gave him a positive review.

His song “Pichacho” was named the best song on his mixtape, and it was included in the “Rolling Stone” and “Spin” lists of the best songs of 2013. The mixtape was also named one of the five best tapes from 2013 by ‘De Wachter.’

His debut track, “Stoner,” was released later that year, followed by “Danny Glover.” Both songs became hits. Several well-known rappers and DJs remixed them. Unfortunately, he did not approve the remixes of his song. He immediately started working with big names like Alex Tumay, Danny Brown and Trick Daddy. And even Travis Scott, cementing his status in the music industry.
