  • Hotels and resorts in Roseate says two of its properties are fully booked for the August long weekends.
  • The occupancy rate is 6-8% compared to the pre-Covid year 2019.
  • The popular luxury hotel brand is also looking forward to expanding its presence in Jaipur, Goa and even the UK.

Two years ago, the lockdown-hit hospitality industry asked for a government aid package. Much to the relief of both the players and the government, the sector made a full comeback and better this year.

The Delhi-based popular luxury hotel brand Roseate Hotels & Resorts is one such chain that has outperformed and looks forward to even better traction in the coming months.

“For the coming long weekends, our leisure hotels – The Roseate and The Roseate Ganges – are sold out. In fact, The Roseate Ganges has consistently sold out on weekends for the past few months,” said Kush KapoorCEO of Roseate Hotels, in an exclusive interview with https://londonbusinessblog.com/ India.

August has three long weekends and that forces more of the weary Indians to get out and travel. Moreso, business travel is back and that too has fueled growth in Roseate, which calls itself an “urban resort” filled with acres of greenery and bodies of water.

“The occupancy rate at Roseate hotels was at least 6-8% higher in 2019 than pre-Covid times,” Kapoor said. Roseate Hotels has a total of six hotels, three each in India and the United Kingdom.

The hotel business of ITC and also Mahindra Holidays just reported a fantastic quarter with triple and quadruple revenue growth. They, like Roseate, are taking advantage of the post-pandemic trends of revenge travel and the very long and busy wedding season.

“Business growth is promising, hotels are buzzing with reservations and are sold out most days. We also get a lot of inquiries and bookings for weddings and events,” he said.

Like ITC, Roseate also sees a clear growth path ahead, adding more hotels, cafes and coworking spaces to its portfolio. It also plans to expand to Jaipur and Goa, the Indian destinations most preferred by foreigners.

While looking to open more properties in the UK, they are also benefiting from hybrid work trends that have boomed after the pandemic. They plan to open at least two such properties each year.

“Our plans for the future are centered around the vision to drive quality expansion in the right direction, to continuously improve our offering as a brand,” said Kapoor. One is a 15,000-square-foot indoor ice rink in Ambience Mall, Gurugram.
