The new anime Japan Sinks 2020, prepared by the Japanese animation studio Science Saru, has completed its first season. This survival drama anime aired on Netflix and found audiences from all over the world. Season 2 of the anime, which will be published as ten episodes in total, is curious. Will there be a season 2 of Japan Sinks 2020† londonbusinessblog it air on Netflix? Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, an old anime, had its first appearance in Japan Sinks 2020. The anime, which has the same style and is about the earthquake, contains heavy drama. The anime, published on Netflix, is an adaptation of a book of the same name in 1973. Ho Pyeon-Gang & Masaaki Yuasa direct the anime series.

What is the storyline of Japan Sinks: 2020?

The anime revolves around Ayumu Muto, whose mother is Filipino and his father is Japanese. He is a runner and when he is about to come back from school, a big earthquake takes place that will change everyone’s life, and extinguish most of them. The quake was so violent that many houses and roads were destroyed. Moreover, this will be the beginning of the end, for earthquakes will not stop and the subterranean plates of the vast Japanese continent have been displaced. This means that the land is buried in the ocean. Ayumu and his brother Go, along with the other survivors, hunt to save their hellish lives.

The bad character of Japan Sinks 2020 are natural disasters. We don’t see any bad enemies or unusual creatures in the series. The anime moves at a general pace and is about ordinary people’s quest for redemption. In that regard, it does its job properly. Apart from that, the anime allows him to watch without getting bored.

The drawings are similar to the anime Devilman Crybaby. It is worth noting that there are even two series of Science Saru. When the characters are sad or scared, they get so ugly, and scenes like this were also present in Devilman Crybaby. The background art and effects are also above average anime.

Japan Sinks 2020 has handled natural disasters well. It is not too action packed, nor does it contain violence or excessive drama. Anime only talks about the survival goal of a small group. There are minor drawbacks, but it’s a quality anime, fun to watch when looking at the whole thing.

londonbusinessblog Japan Sinks: 2020 Season 2 be out on Netflix?

At the time of writing, there was no Netflix renewal for Season 2. If we follow the producers closely, we can’t get any idea about Season 2. We want to share our own take on this matter due to the lack of official explanation. As the name suggests, Japan Sinks 2020 was the only seasonal anime that referenced the current year. The fact that the series ended with a nice finale and the lack of resources also diminishes the possibility of the new season.

ahiru no sora second season

As we mentioned earlier, the creators have adapted the series from the book of the same name, and the book does not contain enough material for season 2, and it is very difficult to come up with a sequel. However, when it comes to Netflix and Anime, we could be in for some surprises. If there’s enough material for a second season, we may see a new season in the summer of 2021, but it’s highly unlikely that we don’t expect it.

What will be the storyline of possible season 2?

In a possible second season of the series, our bad character will be natural disasters again, maybe not an earthquake, but maybe we’re looking at another natural disaster. We also witness the struggles of our characters in the drama series.
