Johnnie Jackson has provided an early assessment of the shoulder injury picked up by Sam Lavelle during Charlton’s 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon.
The central defender, who missed a large chunk of this season with a groin problem, was forced from the field of play shortly after half-time during the clash at Plough Lane.
Lavelle left the pitch with his left arm in a makeshift sling fashioned from his jersey and Jackson confirmed that he appeared to have dislocated his shoulder.
He said: “I think so, yes. I think his shoulder popped out. He jarred it at the weekend. I’m not sure if it’s the same one or if it is related or if it’s a completely new thing.
“He’s been unlucky, Sam, with injuries. He’s done brilliantly since he’s come back into the team. A really solid guy for us there. I don’t know the extent of it, but you would imagine that we’re going to lose him now.”
