The World of Marvel’s Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the MCU is shifting dramatically. With the official trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder which dropped off Monday, April 18, enthusiasts were eligible to get a first-hand look at some of these massive adaptations, including the appearance of Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor character. Currently, it seems that Marvel seems to be upping its comic book ante in Hollywood, several enthusiasts have admired other specific Thor characters that will appear in the lot, such as Beta Ray Bill, another famous Mjölnir wielder from the comics.
Bill made a relatively abrupt impression in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, appearing as a huge monument placed on the Grandmaster’s (Jeff Goldblum) planet Sakaar. But other than that, there’s no mention of the brooding idol in the MCU. However, when it appears in the comics, Bill is extremely involved and available among loved ones. Debuting in 1983, the personality is a Corbinite cybernetic creature who organizes to increase Thor’s strength after grabbing his hammer, Mjölnir, during a battle they were collecting (via Marvel Database). He eventually puts the Asgardian weapon behind him, but he ends up with his hammer, called Stormbreaker.
Marvel has already underlined the weapon in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, so it would only trigger meaning to one day instruct the comic-accurate owner. And it’s clear there’s a fictional actor that enthusiasts want to see play the curious role in performing it.
With over 300 acting credits under his belt and that celebrated voice of his Hollywood icon Keith David is a person that several enthusiasts understand would fit right in with Beta Ray Bill and when given the opportunity, David explains he’s ready. Within a NY minute! David wrote on Twitter Wednesday, April 20, confirming a tweet from WRAL reporter Chris Lovingood, who investigates: If @marvel wanted to cast Beta Ray Bill in the #MCU as a CGI virtue, would you evaluate to cast him? speak if you wish?
David’s acting career has spanned many decades, both on screen and in the recording booth. While he has appeared in cult classic films such as The Thing and They Live, David’s portfolio of voice acting has also expanded. He is widely known for broadcasting Spawn in the self-titled HBO energetic sequel, as well as Dr. Facilier in The Princess and the Frog, and also appeared in Mass Effect, Rick & Morty.
The MCU isn’t the only project David has voiced about his participation. After declaring that Amazon was expanding a Mass Effect television sequel, the entertainer revealed that he would respect his role as Captain David Anderson. When asked if he would like to recreate anything about the character for the exhibit, David said he wants to be fully involved. David said he would just expect to be there and do whatever they had planned. He just wants to be there. Audiences expect to see if Beta Ray Bill in Thor: Love and Thunder can wait for the blockbuster when it hits theaters on July 8.
