Kyle Rittenhuis has received more criticism online after announcing his new YouTube channel devoted to guns and Second Amendment rights. On October 16, 19-year-old Welcome to My Channel posted his debut video to the network, claiming “excellent material” was on the way.

The 35-second video also had YouTuber Brandon Herrera, nicknamed the AK Guy, appearing to give him “tips” on how to create material for his audience. The AK Guy also shared a 19-minute video with Rittenhouse in which the two talked about communism, his prison meal and dealing with legal issues even after being cleared of charges.

Rittenhouse said in the video titled The AK Guy and The Kenosha Kid:

“It has been a challenge. I still have to pay legal fees and I hire lawyers to help me defend myself.”

The 35-second video shows Rittenhouse firing from a helicopter and shooting at targets. The video showed him wearing a gray T-shirt with the words “2nd THAT” on it. At the time of writing, he has 38.1K followers on his channel.

Comments on Kyle Rittenhouse’s New YouTube Channel on Twitter

Kyle Rittenhouse was reprimanded on Twitter for “teaching people to shoot and kill” after introducing his new YouTube channel and posting the first video. Several people noted the “irony”, while others argued that he shouldn’t be able to make money talking about firearms.

Kyle Rittenhouse shot two people during the Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha in 2020.

Kyle Rittenhouse made headlines in August 2020 after shooting two people and injuring another during Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse, then 17, used a semi-automatic rifle to defend himself when riots broke out after a white officer shot 29-year-old Jacob Blake seven times, seriously injuring him. Rittenhouse fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum (36), Anthony Huber (26) and injured Gaige Grosskreutz (27). Two counts of murder, attempted manslaughter, two counts of reckless danger, one count of unauthorized possession of weapons, and one case of curfew violations were filed against the adolescent.

His lawyers claimed that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense and that he was acquitted of all charges in November 2021. He quickly gained fame and began claiming to be a gun rights advocate.

Kyle Rittenhuis

Kyle Rittenhouse announced after his acquittal that he would sue the media for defamation based on their coverage of him and his trial. He also launched a game earlier this summer that allows players to shoot “fake news turkeys” to help fund his legal battle against media companies and Big Tech. Rittenhouse also spoke at a Turning Point USA event and was asked to appear on right-wing television shows and networks. He also met former US President Donald Trump.
