Star Trek Picard launched its second on Paramount+ earlier this month. In the second season, we saw the emergence of a harmful anomaly that could harm the entire galaxy. Jean-Luc Picard was the Starfleet’s last hope of saving the fate of the galaxy. Since then, fans can’t wait for the return of the legendary Starfleet commander in Star Trek Picard Season 3.

Paramount’s Star Trek Picard is a sci-fi space adventure series set in the Star Trek universe. The show follows Jean-Luc Picard who lives peacefully in his vineyard several years after his retirement. But things soon change when a young lady named Dahj asks for his help.

When is Star Trek season 3 coming?

The second season of the Star Trek Picard show premiered on Paramount+ from March 3, 2022 to May 5, 2022. However, Paramout+ didn’t wait for the end of the second season to announce the renewal of the third season. Long before the second season premiere, Paramount announced Star Trek Picard Season 3 on September 8, 2021. Production for the third season began in late 2021.

Meanwhile, on March 8, 2022, showrunner Christopher Monfette tweeted: “And that concludes season three of #StarTrekPicard† As you watch and enjoy season two, you know that the next and final chapter in Picard’s story is something truly remarkable. More than grateful for @TerryMatalasthe cast, crew and all of our extraordinary writers who made it possible.”

His tweet confirms that the third season will be the series’ last outing. While the show’s release date hasn’t been announced yet, we expect it to be out around early 2023.

Star Trek Picard Season 3: Expected Storyline?

The creators of Star Trek Picard have said that each season is a standalone story. However, Picard season 2 left important storylines that would definitely be explored in season 3. dr. Adam Soong presented a top secret map in 2024 Los Angeles called “Project Khan”, hinting that the evil eugenicist might become a genetically engineered supervillain in Star Trek Picard Season 3.

Soong may also be the mysterious threat responsible for creating a “transwarp” channel, which the compassionate Borg Queen has promised to protect. Season 3 could be an epic ending for Jean-Luc Picard and TNG, as there must be a worthy adversary for the united characters of Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek Picard to face.

Cast Details!

The cast of the Star Trek spin-off series stars Sir Patrick Stewart in the title role of Jean-Luc Picard and Jeri Ryan who play Seven of Nine. The show also stars Brent Spiner as Adam Soong, Michelle Hurd as Raffi Musiker, and Santiago Cabrera as Cristóbal Rios. The show also features Evan Evagora in the role of Elnor, Isa Briones in the role of Soji, and Orla Brady who plays Tallinn.

In addition, John de Lancie as Q, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker and Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi. Furthermore, LeVar plays Burton in the show Geordi La Forge, Michael Dorn plays Worf and Gates McFadden appears as Beverly Crusher.

When the space adventure series returns with Star Trek Picard Season 3, we expect the majority of the show’s cast to reprise their respective roles. There is no shortage of intriguing characters in the Star Trek universe. So we can expect a few new characters in the third season as well.
