Who is Taylor Misiak?
American actress Taylor Misiak was born in San Francisco, California, USA, on February 17, 1992, making Aquarius her zodiac sign. She has appeared in 18 movies and TV series, and she is perhaps best known for Playing Ally in the popular musical comedy series “Dave” created by Dave Burd who also stars in it alongside Andrew Santino and Gata. The series follows a suburban rapper who believes he is destined to become famous worldwide. The series has been airing since 2020 and has won one of seven award nominations.

Taylor and her brother Darren were raised in San Francisco by their mother Trina and father Dave Misiak; she avoids talking about her parents as they prefer to keep their privacy, but it is believed that they are both lawyers.
She was about nine years old when she became interested in acting and began appearing in plays performed at her elementary school; Taylor continued acting after enrolling in high school and was named a Minnesota Scholar of Distinction in Theater Arts. She traveled extensively growing up, dividing her time between Apple Valley, Minnesota and San Francisco, California.
She graduated in 2010, and then enrolled at Ithaca College, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts; Taylor worked as a waitress during those four years to support herself financially.

Taylor’s debut film role was playing Girl in the 2011 short comedy “Eye Contact with Strangers” written and directed by Ryan Sager, and starring Erik Bjarnar, Danny Gendron and Jackson Jarvis. It follows two friends eating at a restaurant, when one of them is distracted by a man eating pasta from a giant bowl.
In 2013, Taylor starred as The Spotter in the short action “The Playground,” written and directed by Nate Lawrence, also starred Conor Bell and Eric Dobesh; it follows the high school newspaper club The Monitors that rules the school. Taylor then starred in the 2014 romantic drama “Five Hours,” the musical comedy “Lil Dicky: Pillow Talking,” and the short comedy “Orient USA: The Bambino,” both in 2017.

Also in 2017, she played Vanessa in the short drama “Pause” while she has since appeared in only one movie: Taylor played the main character Renee in the 2018 comedy “Heavily Meditated (The Series)” directed by Corrin Evans, and in which Joe Chambrello also starred; the film parodies the meditative and spiritual community of Los Angeles, and received an honorable mention at the 2019 Global Shorts, Los Angeles Awards.
Taylor is currently filming for the upcoming movie “Liv”.
Roles in TV series
Taylor’s TV series debut was in the 2013 episode “Alone Again” of the comedy “Social Media Misfits”, and in 2015 she played Co-Ed in the “About a Cat Party” episode of the romantic comedy “About a Boy”, which Jason Katims created and starring David Walton, Benjamin Stockham and Al Madrigal. It follows the life of womanizer Will, the series aired in 2014 and 2015 and won one of two award nominations.
In 2016, Taylor played Best Friend in the episode “I’m Going to the Beach with Josh and His Friends!” of the musical comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, and in 2018 she starred as Zoe in the comedy “We Are CVNT5”, created by Gareth Emery and Roxanne Emery, and which also starred Paul Holowaty; it follows the lives of members of the electronic dance band CVNT5.
In 2018, Taylor appeared in two episodes of both the crime comedy “American Vandal” and the comedy “I Feel Bad”, and the year 2021 heard her voice Yasmine in nine episodes of the animated comedy “Ten Year Old Tom”.
Her only other role in the TV series is playing the supporting character Morgan Watterworth in the 2022 comedy ‘Players’ created by Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, starring Misha Brooks, Da’Jour Jones and Ely Henry. It follows the members of a “League of Legends” team who haven’t won a championship in years.
