iverpool have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Merseyside derby and hope to have Roberto Firmino back in contention.
Firmino missed Tuesday night’s thumping 4-0 win over Manchester United with a foot injury but could return against Everton.
That win over United took Liverpool to the top of the Premier League for 24 hours before Manchester City leapfrogged them by beating Brighton the following evening.
Speaking on Friday, Jurgen Klopp said: “Bobby, getting better and better. It’s just uncomfortable, painful.
“Today it’s his first day on the pitch, so there’s still two days to go, so maybe.
“If Bobby gives the thumbs-up then he will be involved. And not, then we wait another few days, but then I think after that it should be possible.”
Asked whether there were any further fitness issues in the squad, Klopp said: “Not that I know yet. No other problems.”
Every game is must-win as Klopp’s men go toe-to-toe with City in the title race but with a Champions League semi-final first leg against Villarreal to come on Wednesday, the German will be tempted by at least some degree of rotation.
That could see Firmino or, perhaps more likely, Diogo Jota come into the forward line, while Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate have both been used regularly in recent weeks.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Keita, Mane, Jota, Salah
