The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office said they are investigating a suspicious death on Main Street in Hooksett. Jason Wirtz, 45, of the Manchester area, died of a single stab wound, according to the chief medical officer. Hooksett Police received a call around 12:08 a.m. Sunday morning for a man who was partially in the way at 66 Main Street. Police said Wirtz did not respond and was bleeding from his neck. He was pronounced dead at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. The attorney general’s office said all parties involved have been identified and there is no threat to the general public. They have not released any information about anyone else involved in the incident. No arrests have been made. “We believe we have really identified everyone involved, but knowing it – not just individuals – but knowing their whereabouts and their movements is very important to the investigation,” said Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati . Officials said they are seeking the public’s help in the matter. Anyone who has seen people walking on Main Street between Daniel Webster Highway and College Park Drive or who has driven across the Main Street Bridge between 11:30 p.m. Saturday night and 1:00 a.m. Sunday can call the state police tip line at 603-628 -8477. The Hooksett Road and Main Street intersection was closed for approximately 12 hours after the report and has since reopened.
