The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has risen to $1.02 billion after no one hit all six numbers and won the top prize.
Despite there being no grand prize winners, four people in the Tri-State area — two in New York and two in New Jersey — are waking up to become millionaires on Wednesday morning.
The winning numbers for Tuesday 7/26/22 were: 29, 63, 66, 7, 60 — Mega Ball 15.
A $1 million winning ticket was sold at the Honey Bee convenience store on Forest Avenue in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island. A second was sold at a Cumberland Farms in Corinth in Saratoga County
Two more $1 million winning tickets were sold in New Jersey.
One was sold at the 7-Eleven on County Road in Tenafly. The other was sold at Circle K on Richmond Avenue in Point Pleasant.

A total of eight tickets were sold nationwide ahead of Tuesday night’s draw which matched five numbers but missed the Mega Number.
Tickets with five numbers, but without the Mega Number, are worth $1 million or a multiple of $1 million.
Friday’s one billion dollar Mega Millions draw will be the fourth largest jackpot in US history, just below Michigan’s $1,050 billion jackpot in January 2021.

Mega Millions’ record jackpot is $1,537 billion, won in South Carolina in October 2018 – the world’s largest lottery prize ever won on a single ticket.
The US record jackpot is $1.586 billion for a Powerball draw in January 2016.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. The game is overseen by state lottery officials.
