A winning Mega Millions ticket was purchased in Fort Myers for the October 14 big jackpot of $494 million. The top prize will be shared with another winning ticket sold in California.
Both winning tickets were sold at 7-Elevens in each respective state, meaning the next time you pick up a Slurpee, you may want to consider picking up a raffle ticket.
The Florida lottery shared that the 7-Eleven at 2980 Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers will receive a $100,000 payout prize for the sale of the winning ticket.
Monday’s winner is the third Florida Mega Millions winner, the highest of which was a $451 million jackpot sold in January 2018 to a 20-year-old Shane Missler from Port Richey.
