Even before there were rumors and leaks of various cameos, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness was already one of the most hyped films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And when the movie came out earlier this month, it paid out everything fans hoped for and more. Several flute-worthy moments blew the minds of fans. However, the post-credit scene at the end of the movie got a lot of fans raving about Doctor Strange 3. So, did Doctor Strange’s wacky sequel set the plot for another movie? What is the future of the movie? Discover it here-
Did Post Credit Scene Doctor Strange 3?
The end credits scenes in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hint at key future events and characters. Many people feel that the ending credit scene hinted at a Doctor Strange 3. Clea, played by Charlize Theron, appears at the end of the film and invites Doctor Strange to help her deal with a new kind of multiverse threat. The scene after the end credits of Doctor Strange 2 seems to hint at what might happen if Marvel Studios develops a third movie starring the powerful wizard. Doctor Strange being more comfortable with his third eye and agreeing to return to the Dark Dimension all seem to point to a Doctor Strange 3 sequel.
In the ending credit scene, Clea mentioned raids. A multiverse raid occurs when two realities collide, potentially destroying one or both. Doctor Strange observes the carnage that takes place in an invasion in the movie Illuminati of Earth-838, the first mention of them in the movie. Clea, on the other hand, has a deep link with Villian Dormamu from the previous film and the dark dimension, as comic book fans know all too well.
Will Scott Derrickson be back for Doctor Strange 3?
Scott Derrickson, the director of the first Doctor Strange movie in the MCU, was recently interviewed. Derrickson discussed his unexpected departure from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He stated that he has an excellent working relationship with Marvel Studios. But given the popularity of the first film, many fans are wondering if Scott would return to helm the third installment.
Derrickson recently expressed his willingness to return to the MCU on Twitter in January 2022. Derrickson confirmed his happy memories of working with Marvel when a fan asked if he would ever consider returning to the Doctor Strange franchise. About his possible return, he said: “I would absolutely do it again”. However, MCU has no plans for Doctor Strange 3, at least not in the near future. But Scott’s possible return is enough to get fans excited.
Did Scarlet Witch Die In Multiverse Of Madness? (Spoiler alert)
The ending of Doctor Strange 2 is far from convincing. The final moments of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seem to kill Scarlet Witch. But is Wanda Maximoff really dead, or is this a fake-out before Wanda’s MCU future takes place.
Wanda finds out what she’s become after wreaking havoc on countless worlds in her search for her children, Billy and Tommy. She also accepted responsibility for her behavior. The Scarlet Witch takes steps to ensure that no one else can do what she does to an alternate world version of herself and her children. Scarlet Witch, repelled by her crimes, collapses Mount Wundagore on itself, eliminating the Darkhold and its power in all multiverse iterations.
Doctor Strange’s corpse must have been killed by the destruction of Mount Wundagore, the site where Chthon originally wrote the Darkhold. According to various parts of the film, Wanda’s suicide in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could be real, despite her superpowers and MCU past. Although, given Wanda Maximoff’s promise, it seems doubtful that Marvel will kill her so soon. Especially since the fourth phase of the MCU is planned to explore the cosmic aspect. As a result, it is entirely plausible that the Scarlet Witch of Earth-616 is still alive. And Wanda’s death was a charade.
