The American crime drama series Sneaky Pete debuted in 2015 on Amazon Prime Video. Bryan Cranston, known for his work on Breaking Bad and his role as Vince, is the creator of the series. The program revolves around a thug named Marius who, in order to evade a mobster after him, takes on the persona of his cellmate Pete.
Is Sneaky Pete Season 4 Coming?
Amazon Prime Video released the third season of Sneaky Pete in May 2019. Since then, fans have been waiting for a positive update on the critically acclaimed series. What came, however, was the exact opposite. Shortly after the end of the third season, Amazon Prime officially confirmed that it was the series’ last season and that Sneaky Pete was completed. It was both disappointing and shocking to fans of the show, as the series had been pretty good before Amazon apparently decided to pull the plug.
However, in the few months, there have been rumors that Sneaky Pete season 4 might actually happen. Rumor has it that some streaming networks other than Prime Video may be interested in continuing the series. However, we must remind you that at the moment these are all just rumors and nothing has been confirmed yet. But you were for a little glimmer of hope; you have it now.
Sneaky Pete Season 4: Who’s in the cast?
The Amazon Prime Video crime drama cast includes Giovanni Ribisi who plays Marius Josipović or Pete Murphy. In addition, Marin Ireland as Julia Bowman, Shane McRae as Taylor Bowman and Libe Barer in the role of Carly Bowman. What happened to the real Pete?
The real Pete reappears in Sneaky Pete season three, teaming up with Julia to plan the painting scam. From there, he helps Marius with his other fraud, buying expensive fake wine, and then continues to party and passes out in a bathtub. After that, Marius advises him to continue, as he may not qualify for this. He disappears for the rest of the episode.
But Pete is also a con man. Even if he disappears, we are aware that he will probably reappear at some point in the future. Because Marius continues to act in his place, Pete cannot have a meaningful relationship with his family. After all, they had experienced it. There was no way he would have let that pass.
Is that really the end of the story with Lila?
The story of Julia, Taylor and Carly’s parents took up much of season three. After some research, Carly learned that her mother could have survived the car accident that claimed her father’s life. Then Lila’s trail leads her to California, where she reportedly lived with her grandfather for some time before robbing a friend of money and running away.
They found out that their sister Maggie, who they thought was their mother, was the real deal in season three. Maggie was hiding in California pretending to be her dead sister. But does that mean the story is over? There seemed to be a lot of anticipation built up for a mediocre reveal. Maggie, or was it always Lila, might still be alive.
