n need of a lawyer? Don’t worry: Jennifer Walters is on the case and she’s about to serve some justice, superhero-style.
That’s right, Marvel’s new trailer for She-Hulk is out, and looks like Bruce Banner’s cousin is about to get her life shaken up.
Titled She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the trailer introduces us to Walters, a high-flying lawyer who seems to have inherited some unwelcome genes from her famous cousin.
“Being a superhero is a trial by fire. Who’s going to protect the world, if not people like you?” A man’s voice says, alongside clips of various emergencies.
We also get our first look at Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk, juggling her life with the demands of the job, including a promotion to the Superhero Law Division.
Intriguingly, Tim Roth – who last appeared in The Incredible Hulk as antagonist Emil Blonsky, who turns into mutated monster Abomination – also makes a cameo appearance in the trailer. From the looks of it, he’s also firmly behind bars.
“I’m a lawyer, I have great friends, a demanding job… and a frustrating family.” Walters informs us, before the trailer cuts to Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk (appearing in this instance as Smart Hulk), teaching her about her powers and how to use them.
Cut to several clips of her saving civilians and going on missions with the Hulk – as well as navigating life as She-Hulk – and a few glimpses of upcoming foes.
We also get a glimpse of bungling superhero Frog-Man’s Marvel debut, though it remains to be seen what kind of role he’ll play.
With all that to look forward to, fans took to social media to share their enthusiasm for the upcoming series.
“Marvel has yet to fail with their streaming shows. Besides the cgi I’m excited for She Hulk! Can’t wait to see how they showcase her for 9 episodes,” one fan wrote, while another weighed in.
“I’m with a lot of people here where I say that the CGI isn’t the best,” they wrote. “But honestly? I’m fine with that. This trailer looks like it’s embracing the more campy side of Marvel. And I’m *so* glad we’re getting that.”
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be streaming on Disney+ from August 17.
