Diana Gabaldon’s most famous book series, Outlanders Season 5, will soon premiere on Netflix early in the first week of May 2022. The original Starz fame Outlanders Season 6 aired on March 6, 2022.
Outlanders: a famous novel series
Outlanders is a romantic fantasy historical drama series based on the Outlanders novel series written by Diana Gabaldon. This book series was one of the author’s best-selling books.

The lead role, Claire Randall, is a married English combat nurse. The story takes place in the fall of 1945, when she is mysteriously driven back in time to 1743 and ends up in an unknown world where her life is threatened.
Claire is married to a Scottish warrior named Jamie Fraser. from here begins the story of the young couple.
Making up the drama series
Ronald D. Moore developed the show and the very first episode aired on August 9, 2014 on Starz. The show starred CaitrÃona Balfe, who played Claire Randall, and she was married to Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).
Claire and Jamie’s on-screen connection takes on a spark that stuns fans. The series is packed with romance, science, fiction, history, adventure and all in one story.
Glimpse to the previous seasons
Season 1 (2014-15) is based on the first part of the novel Outlanders (Cross-stitch), which consists of 16 episodes. Season 2 (2016), with 13 attacks, is based on Dragonfly in Amber.
Based on Voyager, Season 3 came out in 2017 with 13 episodes. The fourth season was all about Drums of Autumn, which premiered in 2018. Season 4 came with a total of 13 episodes. Fifth season (2020) has been released on The fiery cross with 12 episodes.
Season 6 aired on Starz in March 2022, while Season 7 is still in the works.
The storyline of the 5th season
Amid the controversy over Jamie and Claire staying at their home in Frasers Ridge as the American Revolutionary War seems very close.

Season 5: Release Dates and OTT Platforms
Outlanders Season 5 aired on Starz in 2020. Starz confirmed that with the completion of all season 6 episodes on the Starz platform, season 5 would launch on Netflix.
Viewers will be able to binge-watch the series from season 1 to season 5 on Netflix from May 10, 2022. The pre-seasons were already available on Netflix, and all 12 episodes of season 5 will be added to the list soon.
Fans are now eager to know when season 6 will premiere on Netflix.
Although there is a chance that season 6 will air on Netflix in May 2023. Due to the pandemic, some changes have been made to Season 6 and 7.
Another question is whether it will take two years for season 6 after season 5 to launch on Netflix, since it’s only been two years since the last episode of season 4 was introduced that season. Yet this question remains unanswered.
