Starting up animal care super tails.com announced on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, that it has raised $10 million in Series A funding from Fireside Ventures, a Bengaluru-based investment firm. The round also saw participation from existing investors such as Saama Capital and DSG Consumer Partners.

Supertails.com was founded in 2021 by Varun Sadana, Aman Tekriwal and Vineet Khanna to meet the needs of novice pet owners. The platform has now become a pet care-focused e-commerce marketplace for pet supplies, pet training, and online vet consultations across the country.

The company has completed more than 20,000 pet consultations and offers more than 10,000 products from more than 200 brand partners.

“At Supertails.com, our vision is to create a platform that makes life easier for their (pet parents). Our goal is to build a platform that integrates products, services and communities from the provision of pet food to the 24-hour pet care and consultation,” said Varun Sadana, Aman Tekriwal and Vineet Khanna, the co-founders of supertails.com.

The round also saw investments from angels such as Cred founder Kunal Shah, MamaEarth co-founder Varun Alagh, Genesis Luxury Fashion president Sanjay KapoorCurefoods founder Ankit Nagori and The Whole Truth Foods founder Shashank Mehta.

“With this funding round, we want to invest in creating a one-stop platform for pet parents that covers all of their needs. We are delighted to have the support of Fireside Ventures, Saama Capital and DSG consumer partners in this journey and aim to leverage their expertise to become the most preferred and loved pet care platform in India,” added the trio.

Supertails.com plans to use the money raised to scale up its technical infrastructure and launch its mobile application. The company is also expanding its newly launched Henlo brand, which currently sells dog diet boosters. The money will also be used to expand vertical markets, strengthen the supply chain and improve the post-sales experience.

Supertails.com had previously raised $2.6 million in the Seed round, led by Saama Capital and DSG Consumer Partner.

Company wants to be ARR . double

Supertails.com reported annual recurring revenue (ARR) of ₹50 crore in the past 18 months and aims to double this to ₹100 crore by March 2023.
